Welcome to the blog of the English Department in INSTITUT CIRVIÀNUM DE TORELLÓ .Our objective is to encourage our students to improve their oral competence as well as to have a good level of English when they leave our High School.
INSTITUT Cirviànum has started an experimental plan for the foreign language acquisition (PELE 2010-2013) called “Cirvibetterenglish”.
The main objective of this project is to improve the English communicative competence in general among our students and to make them interact efficiently and with autonomy when using the English language. Although our project is centered on Batxillerat, the experiment is having a positive impact in all the levels.
This will be accomplished through different tasks:

- integrating ICT and different internet tools in the classroom in order to enrich our lessons and offer variety to our students,
- creating a classroom blog as an educational tool which can highly motivate our students, especially those who otherwise might not become participants in classrooms, and give them excellent opportunities to read and write, collaborate and discuss .
- Creating an e-portfolio for each student as a type of learning record that provides actual evidence of achievement,
- Engage students in the importance of self-assesment as well as critical thinking.

ResponEliminaI think the Erasmus talk was a good way to listen a person talking in English. This talk was useful to hear about the advantages and disadvantages of being an Erasmus student and to knew something about Pensacola. I think that talk could repeated again because I think it was so interesting and productive.
